BioWare has finally detailed this weekend’s newest Mass Effect 3 challenge, in the form of Operation Beachhead, which will give all multiplayer users 25% more XP starting today and ending on Tuesday, April 10.

Mass Effect 3’s multiplayer has gotten a lot of people hooked on its online experience and BioWare’s special weekend Operations have certainly fueled their addictions.

After being rewarded for promoting their characters with last week’s Operation Raptor, this weekend’s Operation Beachhead brings more goodies, in the form of a 25% XP bonus for anyone who plays online.

Between today and Tuesday, April 10, 5AM PST, those who engage in combat on any map against any foe will receive more XP at the end.

All Mass Effect 3 platforms are included in the Operation, namely the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

What’s more, the official announcement makes a mention of using “Krogan mercs and Batarians with Asari justicars” against the Reapers, so perhaps we might finally get some new characters in the multiplayer in the near future as DLC.
