After releasing the long-awaited Extended Cut DLC for Mass Effect 3 earlier this week, BioWare has now posted a brand new update for the game’s multiplayer mode. This brings some crucial changes to the gear mechanics while it improves some weapons and decreases the effectiveness (nerfs) of the Tactical Cloak power.

Mass Effect 3’s multiplayer may have been an experiment but it quickly got a lot of players hooked on its online experience thanks to constant updates and special Challenge weekends.

For this week’s update, BioWare made quite a few interesting changes, chief among which being a modification to the loot mechanic regarding character cards. Now, once a player has all the appearance options unlocked for a character, he’ll no longer receive cards for them, as BioWare will now award special Rare ammo types (level IV).

Besides this big change, the update brings a few changes to a variety of weapons and drastically decreases the power of the Tactical Cloak.
