14 DAY TRIAL // Mary-Kate Olsen has been dating Olivier Sarkozy, brother of the former French President, for almost a year but, if recent photos of the couple are any indication, they might have secretly moved on to the next stage of their romance.
As various media outlets are saying right now, Mary-Kate and Olivier probably tied the knot in secret because she was recently photographed with what looks like a wedding band on her finger.
“Mary-Kate Olsen and Olivier Sarkozy showed up at Madison Square Garden on Sunday, March 3, to watch the New York Knicks play the Miami Heat – but they appeared to have eyes only for each other,” Us Weekly writes.
Indeed, photos show the two gazing lovingly into each other’s eyes, unaware that their photo is being taken.
“The couple of nearly a year packed on the PDA as the Knicks tried unsuccessfully to end Miami's 14-game winning streak. Olsen, 26, kept a tight grip on Sarkozy, 42, wrapping both arms around his and pulling him close to talk,” the mag says.
“Both flashed big smiles, but the fashion designer flashed something else, too: a delicate gold band on her left ring finger,” Us notes.
The same media outlet claims to have it on good authority that the two aren’t engaged yet, let alone married, but other publications and celebrity bloggers aren’t convinced.
When word of the unlikely romance first broke online in May last year, insiders said that it was precisely the age gap that drew her to him.
Mary-Kate, for those who don’t know, is 26, while Olivier is 42.
Admittedly, Mary-Kate is too mature for her age, which means men her own age can’t possibly be up to her standards. Olivier has more experience in everything, which makes her ideal man, which is why she agreed to go out with him in the first place, it was said at the time.
