Fans are deeply confused about the new version

While fans are still wondering what was wrong with the original Iron Man, Marvel has just released the first look at the brand new Superior Iron Man, that is supposed to replace the aging version of the popular character and become a part of the new Avengers, which have been called “Avengers NOW!”

The official announcement quoted by Yahoo claims that “This is a Tony we haven’t seen since before that fateful heart injury that turned him into one of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. The smug, over-confident quintessential capitalist is back…and readers are going to get a real kick out of it. Even the most loyal IRON MAN fans will find this a guilty pleasure.”

The new Iron Man suit looks like it was designed by Steve Jobs

To most, the new Iron Man suit retains nothing of the cool air that Tony Stark seemed to exude. He certainly isn't as menacing as the old red and yellow, glowing eyes and there's no nose suit. What we have now is a Tony Stark in a silver tiara, who is clearly an Apple fan judging by all of the monochrome tones and the LEDs which make him look like a MacBook.

Even the advertisement for the new comic sounds like a teleshopping ad, “He’ll make you better. He’ll take away the pain. He’ll make you…SUPERIOR! And he’ll stop at nothing to do it. But just how far will he go? Will he save the world, or pull it apart at the seams? Good or bad, it doesn’t matter – he’s superior. And he’s coming to comic shops in November for SUPERIOR IRON MAN #1!”

This is the first in many dramatic changes that Marvel plans to make in the coming year. It should be said that most of those changes have been met with frustration and anger by die-hard comic book fans.

Killing off Wolverine, ending the Fantastic Four series and turning Thor into a woman did not sit well with any comic book enthusiast, but Marvel is pushing ahead all the same, trying to shake things up.

The first Superior Iron Man comic is coming in November, Marvel hopes it will sell well

The new Superior Iron Man first comic is going to be released this November, and it remains to be seen if the new concept is going to be embraced by the fan base and boost comic book sales.

On screen, Iron Man is doing very well, becoming one of the biggest movie franchises Marvel owns at the moment, but even there the future is uncertain, as Robert Downey Jr. is refusing to confirm if he'll appear in “Iron Man 4.” For the moment, it is known that he will appear in “Captain America 3” and that he and the Captain are going to go head to head.

Let's just hope that he won't be appearing in the silver iSuit.
