Japanese optical filters and photographic accessories manufacturer Marumi is also present at the CP+ Camera & Photo Imaging Show in Yokohama with 9 filter prototypes.

Among these 9 filters, Marumi presented a new type of PL (polarizing) filter that also adds the effects of an ND filter at the same time. This product will provide the same effects offered by traditional PL filters combined with the dimming properties of ND optics, allowing you to take long exposure photos.

Dcwatch also spotted three new ND filters for very long exposures, including DHG ND-400, DHG ND-1000, and DHG ND-10000. Moreover, a new VARI-ND filter was showcased, capable of reducing the light that reaches the sensor from ND2 to ND1000.

In addition to these products, Marumi showcased the DHG Star 6X and DHG Star 8X lens filters that will create eye-catching star-like patterns from every point of light in the image.

If you are passionate about night photography, you should check out the new Light Pollution PROTECT filter capable of correcting the landscape color cast caused by various sources of light. Pricing and availability is yet to be announced.
