(Movie ) hotties come and go, but no one is more aware of this than Mark Wahlberg. During his speech at the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s annual luncheon, Mark warned fellow actor Leonardo DiCaprio that they’re being replaced by Taylor Lautner.

For those for whom the name doesn’t ring a bell, know this: he’s in “The Twilight Saga” and is hailed as the next Matt Damon in action movies.

Technically, he’s yet to prove he’s a solid actor, but he’s already getting paid in many zeroes, being the most in-demand actor of his age.

Wahlberg sees in him a potential candidate to his and Leo’s throne, E! Online informs. If he doesn’t, he sure seems to put in the effort to make others believe it.

“I am sitting at a table with a gentleman who is better looking than you and is in better shape than me,” Mark told DiCaprio.

“So, we’re both out of a job, dude. Taylor Lautner! We’re screwed,” the actor joked.

“It’s over, dude. Titanic and Boogie Nights were a long time ago. I accept it. I had a good run and on to the next,” Mark pressed the issue, as the entire audience burst in laughter.

Of course, neither DiCaprio nor Wahlberg are going anywhere, and Lautner still has many miles to go before he even dreams of being in the same league as they are, as the performance and critical reception of the three prove beyond any trace of doubt.

Still, he’s proud that Wahlberg at least knows his name, the heartthrob told E! after the luncheon.

“I don’t even know the word to describe being here,” Taylor says for the celebrity e-zine.

“It’s so odd. It’s such an honor. I’m up on the stage and talking in front of people like that? The people that I looked up to my entire life? Hearing words like that from Mark and everybody it’s just really surreal,” Lautner adds.
