He's not the daddy: Mariah Yeater, the 20-year-old woman claiming to have had Justin Bieber's baby after a casual encounter last year, has dropped the paternity lawsuit against him, it has emerged.

It's been a very difficult few weeks for The Beliebers, Justin's fans, having to deal with reports that he had fathered a child with a fan he casually invited backstage to have intimate relations.

Though the majority of the fans didn't believe Yeater (some even started threatening her on whatever channels available to them), there were still some who didn't doubt the veracity of her story.

TMZ is now reporting that Yeater has dismissed all claims. Furthermore, the e-zine is suggesting that she only did so because she'd become afraid of what she'd done and didn't want to get sued by Bieber for defamation.

“Justin Bieber's baby mama has dismissed her paternity lawsuit against the singer. The suit was quietly dismissed late last week,” the e-zine informs.

“What's more, Mariah Yeater's lawyers, Lance Rogers and Matt Pare, have quit her... withdrawn from the case,” TMZ says.

The logical explanation would be that Yeater realized what she'd gotten herself into only when it was too late because, by then, she'd already made the claims that she was the mother of Justin's child in public.

Since Justin said that he would take a DNA test the moment he'd return to the US to prove that Yeater was lying and then sue her for defamation, one can infer she was afraid she'd end up in jail.

“Justin's lawyer, Howard Weitzman, called the attorneys and informed them a suit was looming. Apparently, they got the message,” TMZ says.

That Yeater's story was bogus became apparent from her only interview on the topic, when she wouldn't answer direct questions but start crying instead, couldn't provide detailed information on the alleged encounter and contradicted herself at least on a couple of instances.

No word if Justin will still sue Yeater now that she's withdrawn her claims in court.
