Singer attended the BET Honors in Washington DC, performed on top of a piano

Mariah Carey has a certain style that is unmistakable, in the sense that she’s developed her own way of dressing for public events and it usually involves body-hugging dresses with plenty of skin on display, and an abundance of luxury accessories.

The diva is also fond of big hair and subtle makeup, which complete what we could call the “Mariah Carey look.”

All of that – and so much more – was on full display the other night at the BET Honors event at the Warner Theatre in downtown Washington DC, as the photo attached to this article can also confirm.

It’s not yet known if there was a red carpet or if Mariah walked in the same dress, which appears virtually impossible to walk in (unless by “walk” you understand being carried on the shoulders of a couple of very loyal and strong Lambs), but she rocked the hell out of it during a live performance.

The Daily Mail has more photos from the event but we also included a video at the end of the article, which offers a better look at the insanely low-cut black number she had on.

The British tab IDs the designer of the dress as Rubin Singer and hints that the creation had been crafted especially for Mariah. You can see some sort of golden support underneath the bodice, but you can’t tell if that’s some sort of fancy bra or golden straps to the gown.

What you can see very clearly is that Mariah, apparently shoeless, got on top of the piano during her performance, with moves so lascivious that she resembled a real-life version of Jessica Rabbit, the aforementioned publication notes.

Mimi also wore elbow-long black gloves and was dripping in diamonds, accessorizing with a chunky necklace and drop earrings. She styled her hair in large curls, with a side parting and, as noted above, went light on the makeup.
