Mariah Carey seemed to be more affected in her split from Nick Cannon than he was. After it was confirmed that the actor and the singer were parting ways, Nick was spotted on several outings with strange women, most of them good-looking models, while reports said that Mariah was alone at home, depressed.

But since she started her “Elusive Chanteuse” tour in Tokyo over the weekend, and got to vent some of that frustration out on stage by changing the lyrics to one of her cover songs and cussed out Nick Cannon, reports are claiming that she's ready for another man in her life.

Mariah is reaching out to Nas, asking him to hook her up with some new friends

Us Weekly claims that Mariah's friend, rapper Nas, is going to play matchmaker for her and “hook her up” with another man after her divorce. Mariah has already reached out to Nas, texting him that she was back on the market and that she needed friends “she could go out with – or even just hook up with.”

The rapper is apparently not in a hurry to provide her with such friends, probably being worried about the reports that she's depressed and slowly losing touch with reality because of her constant drinking.

Nas and Mariah have been friends for a long time, but he doesn't seem too keen to help her just yet

Nas and Mariah go way back and have several collaboration songs together, including the song “Dedicated” and the third song on her latest album, “Me. I Am Mariah … The Elusive Chanteuse.” In fact, the two were so close that, at one point in 2013, it was rumored that she was cheating on Cannon with Nas.

It was Cannon himself who dispelled the rumors at the time, by going on Howard Stern and saying that Nas was just a good friend and nothing more. Now it seems that Mariah wants to turn her good friend into a matchmaker.

Since the split, Cannon has been accused of being in a secret relationship with Amber Rose, who has also recently announced her divorce from rapper Wiz Khalifa. There has yet to be any evidence of this relationship coming to light, but Cannon did sign Amber to his talent management company, looking to start her on a television career.

As for his love life, he is hitting the town hard these days, with wingman Randy Jackson, the former American Idol judge, who is also in between relationships at the moment. The two were spotted out in LA with models and Playboy bunnies.
