Hot on the heels of the announcement that her long-delayed 14th studio album is dropping in stores at the end of May, Mariah Carey has already started promoting it by, ironically, getting people again to pay attention to her banging body.

The diva is the cover girl of the latest issue of Wonderland magazine and, as you can see in the pic above, she’s showing the goods to the world again in a black and white, sizzling photo shot by controversial fashion photographer Terry Richardson.

We assume the accompanying interview will touch upon her upcoming album and perhaps also reveal why it took so long for it to come out but, for the time being, we only have this first photo to go by. And, to be honest, it’s quite a lot.

Wearing black lace lingerie with black garters and a black raincoat, Mariah is shown clutching a string of pearls and a nearly empty glass of white wine. She’s also wearing black leather gloves and seems half-amused half-intrigued at having been surprised in such a compromising position.

Richardson, when he’s not being criticized by industry people and the media for his raunchy photos and the dubious manner in which he manages to get models to pose for him (allegedly), is famous for this type of shoots, hyper sensual to the point of depravity, with a certain air of decadence about them as well.

In an excerpt from the interview made available online, the singer reveals that her 3-year-old daughter Monroe will be featured on one of the songs from the yet-to-be-titled album.

“There's a song on the record called Supernatural that I haven't talked to the media about before – it features Roc and Roe. Especially Monroe – that's her song. She opens the song, actually. It was something along the lines of ‘Goo goo goooo.’ For a two and a half year old, she was a steady vibrato,” Mariah says.

The singer is also featured in the latest issue of Billboard magazine, in which she actually says she plans on launching her new album pretty much like Beyonce did her latest, by releasing everything, except for the official title, all at once. Of course, Beyonce’s gimmick was that she never even as much as hinted about the album, which is clearly not the case here.

Oddly enough, Mariah’s label Def Jam has denied this Beyonce-style release, saying it will be a traditional one by all means.
