Mariah Carey is soon coming out with new material. She let her fans know that she's not standing idly by during her appearance on NBC's special “New Year's Eve with Carson Daily.” The singer revealed that her new single would be coinciding with Valentine's Day.

This will be the opening act for her 14th studio album set to be released later in the spring, Mariah further unveiled. The title of the album, according to the singer, will be “The Art of Letting Go.”

The album was originally slated for release in July, but the diva pushed back the date as she felt more songs were needed. “I'd rather not exclude meaningful songs. I want to give you this album as it's meant to be heard,” she said back in June.

Since the song will be released on Valentine's Day, speculations can be made it will be a love ballad, something at which Mariah has excelled in the past. Among other titles on the album are “Triumphant (Get 'Em)” from back in 2012, “#Beautiful” and the title track “The Art of Letting Go.”
