They described their separation “amicable” and it would seem it’s precisely that. Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony are not letting the death of their marriage stand in the way of their brand new show, “Q’Viva: The Chosen.”

Announced before the end of the latest season of American Idol, which featured Lopez as judge, the show was supposed to have the two traveling through countries in Latin America for talent they would later explore back in the US.

Over the weekend, in a shocking development, the two singers announced they were getting divorced, amidst speculation that the breakup was a long time coming because they had fallen out of love.

Even so, even with their marriage dead and nearly buried, the two will honor their previous engagement and do the show as scheduled – and as announced to fans from all over the world, AceShowbiz writes.

“They’re both committed to ¡Q'viva! and will work on it as planned,” a spokesman for Simon Fuller’s XIX Entertainment says of Jennifer and Marc’s decision as regards their joint venture.

“The show goes on!” the same statement reads.

For the time being, the show does not have a network, in spite of the media attention it got shortly after the two stars announced it.

Nevertheless, the drama of the divorce may also bring about something good, in that it will help land a deal for the show, now that people will be very interested to see how the two interact in front of the camera, as the aforementioned e-zine also notes.

Earlier today, rumor got out that it was Lopez who ended the marriage, after becoming fed up with Marc’s controlling ways, his financial issues and constant arguments, as we also informed you.

In concert last night, Marc managed to crack a joke about his marriage, telling ladies in the audience that “They're saying I’m single now,” and serenading them throughout the entire gig.
