An easy-to-manage application

Developed by Eric Kok as an open-source and free application, Transdroid is basically a standard torrent client manager designed to work on Android devices. The application is fully compatible with µTorrent, Transmission, rTorrent, Vuze, Deluge 1.2+, BitTorrent 6 and a few more other torrent clients. After installing Transdroid, you will be able to manage torrents from your Android smartphone, and add them via URL, RSS feed or integrated search. To be able to install Transdroid, you will need a device that is running at least version 1.5 of the Android operating system.

Transdroid works like a remote client for your BitTorrent application running on a server or home computer. When using the application, you will be able to see the active torrents, pause, resume or remove them and new torrents can be added via URL or as an extra via an isoHunt-powered search.

All supported BitTorrent applications have a web interface or web-based API that allow other apps to communicate with them. Furthermore, in case you have multiple servers configured with Transdroid, you will be able to switch between them with a simple swipe, thanks to the integrated Swipe and switch feature. Also, when the server is overloaded, there's an option that can adjust the bandwidth usage of your torrents.

The application is in continuous development, so new features are added pretty often. One of the future options that will most likely be introduced in the next update regards 'file-level priorities' and will enable users to set priorities on a file level. Just check out the details screen of any of your active torrents and view the file listing. You can adjust the file's priority or totally disable its downloading, by simply keeping the file pressed at length.

The developer of Transdroid offers great support to new users of the application and encourages those that want to improve Transdroid by adding new features. One can download the free application directly from the Android Market or on the Internet.
