John Gadd of Dorset has been keeping a diary for 66 years

A man from Dorset, UK has been keeping a diary for the last 66 years, and he has smashed the record for largest diary, at least in the UK.

John Gadd is 83 years old and he has documented his life in Dorset, England and its vicinity in an astounding 21,000 handwritten pages.

According to the Telegraph, he first started penning his words in a diary in 1947. The combined accounts now feature over four million words.

He has 151 written volumes, 33,000 photos as well as drawings and newspaper clippings. He rites in the journal every day for at least 20 minutes.

“It settles family arguments too, my wife Barbara and I are always arguing about who we met, when we met them and how old they are,” Gadd jokes.
