14 DAY TRIAL // Police in Longmont received four calls over a man dangling from a hot air balloon on Tuesday morning.
"There is a hot-air balloon on the north end of town and there is a guy hanging from it. [...] I don't know if he is supposed to be or if he is in trouble," one caller said.
However, it turned out that he was just part of a stunt to promote a Kickstarter project. Dan Vinson, who was on the balloon, and his partner, Dave Hunt, were shooting the promo for their product.
They are selling Monkii Bars, lightweight exercise bars which can be used for gymnastic suspension training. They have been trying to demonstrate that you can even use them in mid-air.
Police officers started following the balloon, until realizing that the daredevil was wearing a harness, the Longmont Times-Call wrote.
