A Brazilian man has died as police were chasing him for transporting drugs in a utility vehicle.

The suspect was traveling from Mato Grosso do Sul state to Sao Paulo with packs of marijuana aboard the car.

The driver didn't stop at a road block in Bataguassu, arousing suspicions as to what he was carrying. A three-mile (4.8-km) police chase followed.

During the pursuit by Brazil's Federal Highway police, he smashed into a tree and died on the spot. When investigators approached his vehicle, they noticed the amazing sight posted in the image above.

The motorist was transporting 500 kg (1,100 lbs) of weed on the car. The drugs have been confiscated by the Bataguassu police.

According to the Daily Mail, Brazil does not punish the possession of marijuana with jail; however, suspects must serve community service.
