14 DAY TRIAL // A man spotted carrying a crucifix while wearing absolutely no clothes in China has come out of hiding, sources are saying.
As I mentioned before, he has been jogging with the cross at night, and he has even been caught on tape riding on scooter while donning the same cross as his only accessory.
According to Kotaku, he is in fact a performance artist from Beijing, who was creating a statement piece.
Li Binyuan, a graduate of the China Central Academy of Fine Arts, claims that his is not necessarily performance art, but a way to create a line of communication online and interact with those who are now talking about him.
"Every time I finish a run, I always check online to see what people online are saying about me. [...] The internet creates such a wonderful way to interact, and I really want to see what others think of this thing I'm doing. It makes conversation online," he says.
