More details are emerging about the identity of the man who was arrested by police yesterday in connection to the burglary that took place at Miley Cyrus' mansion over last weekend, in which her white Maserati was stolen, along with an unspecified amount of jewelry.

Today, TMZ claims that the man in question is not actually on his first robbery, being accused of 2 separate crimes and you're never going to guess what for. That's right, the man is a suspected car thief, which would explain why he chose to bust Miley's white Maserati Quatroporte when he hit her mansion.

The man's name is Tyler Scott and he was arrested on the streets of North Hollywood yesterday, along with a female suspect, by the name of Naomi Charles. They are both being accused of breaking into the pop star's home last weekend.

Last September, Scott was again under police custody for stealing his parents' car and, according to the police report, he told police officers that he just went for a joy ride “for the thrill of it.” The joy ride ended abruptly when he crashed the car and abandoned it.

It was only days until he boosted another car, which he drove around for a few days until he got a flat tire and abandoned it in a parking lot. But this was only the beginning, because in December he moved up to bigger and better things.

He is accused of stealing a Mercedes CLK near the University of Arizona. But don't go thinking that Scott here is a master car thief. No, he just saw the car keys hanging on the wall of an open garage, went in and made off with the vehicle in question.

Well, last week he thought that it would be a good idea to break into Miley Cyrus' home and steal her luxury car, but he didn't get very far, because the police found the car a few blocks down from where the theft occurred, parked on a street in Simi Valley, California.

Scott seems to have a problem with drugs also and, since he didn't show up in court for his previous allegations, there was a warrant out for his arrest.

There is no information given about the other person who participated in the robbery, but it's believed that both of them were picked up by police yesterday not far from the scene of the crime after detectives recognized their faces from the surveillance footage they were given from Miley's mansion.

Miley was not at home when the robbery took place and it is believed that the people who broke into her home are not connected with the singer in any way.
