John Posey, a 65-year-old man from Arkansas, was arrested and faces charges for public intoxication and criminal mischief after urinating on the carpet and the electronics display window inside Radio Shack, not being able of holding it anymore.

When the store's staff noticed the incident, they immediately alerted the police; but when he was first questioned, the man denied ever doing such a thing. The officer handling the case from Paragould's Radio Shack noticed that the man's “pants were unzipped and he had bloodshot eyes, was unsteady on his feet and smelled of intoxicants” according to the official police report.

After denying the mischief, the man was confronted with the facts – the store's display smelled like urine and the carpet had wet spots in that particular area he stood moments earlier. Posey insisted he was just shopping until he finally admitted to urinating in the store.

“I had to pee bad,” the man allegedly told the police according to International Business Times. The first thing the officers replied was why he didn't inquire about the store's toilet, but the man responded that from his personal experience “stores usually won't let you...so I didn't ask,” preferring to pee on the carpet and on the display.

Radio Shack workers accused Posey of causing more than $800 (€582) in damages after his urine spread on expensive equipment, according the The Smoking Gun. The man was charged and jailed in Green County for criminal mischief.

Another similar case happened at the University of Connecticut a few weeks ago when a Harvard educated Chemistry Professor was arrested for peeing in a parking lot and vandalizing several cars. The professor was charged with criminal mischief and breach of peace and placed on official leave from the University until the police investigation was complete.
