Symantec warns people who want to learn more about the Maldives not to enter any credentials in a form connected to this app or other similar ones.
Users are lured with Maldivian symbols to enter their social media username and password in order to learn more, but once the customer logs in, nothing actually appears.
While it may seem that nothing happened, in the background cybercriminals were working on stealing the credentials which they can later use to access other accounts that might share the same log-in data.
If you fell victim to such a malicious software, make sure to quickly change the passwords that protect your digital assets before the crooks get the chance to do so.
