Google Earth, the famous mapping solution powered by the Mountain View company, receives new goodies from the parent firm that brings better quality for the imagery it provides. In an announcement published today, Matt Manolides, GIS Specialist, describes most of the improvements included in the last release of Google Earth, saying that several locations from North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Oceania were updated with better and more clear photographs. According to the Google employee, the beaches of Florida are now more detailed while some mountains were also improved with new imagery.

The mapping solution provided by Google has always been one of the most updated products, receiving imagery improvements every once in a while. Recently, the Mountain View company silently rolled out a new beta version of the application that brought some new functions and what's most important, interoperability with the web-based mapping tool, Google Maps. Using a simple button implemented into the downloadable program, you can now view a certain location straight into the window of the browser in a matter of seconds.

What's most interesting about this update is that Google refused to mention the improvements clearly, inviting the users into a sort of game because it offered only some hints about the updated locations. Matt Manolides said that Google will publish the entire list of updates in the upcoming days but you can see only the hints for now. Here are some of the most important tips concerning the recently implemented update as they were mentioned by the Google expert:

- Two states known for their majestic peaks have gotten an upgrade. - I can now see where my favorite maple syrup is made. - Certain Florida beaches (and 1 mountain) are looking much improved. - Try counting the warthogs in the Boneyard. - Peek inside the home of the Brew Crew. - You can read the Skin's logo painted on their field. - An historic state capitol building is now in high res. - This city was named after the Native American name of a nearby mountain, "Tacobet."
