Nintendo is really putting its money where its mouth is. After promising regular updates for the WiiWare service, which aims to bring small, interesting games to Nintendo Wii users through a download service, Nintendo is announcing new additions to the service in the form of one new game and one new update for the North American WiiWare component.

Magnetica Twist is the new WiiWare title. The game is already available in Japan as Minna de Puzzloop and in Europe as Actionloop Twist. It's a sort of match-3 puzzle game with a twist, offering gameplay mechanics which are similar to the ones the Puzz Loop series offered on the Nintendo DS. The player controls a marble launcher and we must use the Wiimote to put himself in position and launch marbles at an attacking army which is also made up of the said marbles. The game is set to sell for 1 000 Wii Points, the equivalent of 10 dollars in North America.

The update is aimed at the WiiWare title Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King and introduces various new objects and quests in the game.

The Virtual Console, on which Nintendo offers updated versions of various classic releases, is also getting a new title today, in the form of Fatal Fury 2, a game which initially made its debut in 1992 on the Neo Geo console. The game is straight up action, with eight playable characters and varied battle arenas. The Virtual Console version offers a two line battle system, allowing fighters to step in and out to avoid attacks, and new "desperation" attacks, which only kick in once a player's health is low but deal out massive damage to the opponent. The game is priced at 900 Wii Points.

With Nintendo adding more content to the WiiWare service and to the Virtual Console, we might see more gamers downloading these titles and more Wii users asking for enhanced storage capacity on their consoles.
