True to the saying that money doesn't buy happiness, Madonna says in a new interview that she is just like any other single mother out there struggling to earn her living to provide for her 4 children.

After the divorce from British filmmaker Guy Ritchie, Madonna didn't remarry again – though speculation has it that she's considering tying the knot with her current beau, dancer Brahim Zaibat.

While it would be easy to assume that, because she is one of the richest female entertainers of all times she can afford all the help in the world, she insists things aren't quite like that.

She's just like any other mother, she says in an interview cited by The Sun. Come to think of it, Madonna could even say she's worse off, because she has to do everything in the public eye.

“Everybody has something to say about the way I live my life,” she sneers.

“At the end of the day I’m doing my best. If people don’t like it, then that’s really their problem. Sometimes I cope with it very well, sometimes it’s a struggle,” she says.

The problems she's been dealing with alone these past 4 years have inspired Madonna with new material for her latest album, “MDNA.”

Most of the tracks included on it are an ode to the independent woman who juggles more responsibilities at once, as is the case with “I Don't Give a...,” which is believed to be a diss at her ex-husband.

“It’s about the life of a single mother. It’s a challenge juggling everything – multi-tasking is my middle name. I try to express that,” Madonna clarifies.

At the end of the day, if other women can benefit from her own experience by finding motivation or inspiration in it, she's happy.

“I hope I’m a role model. I hope I give other girls a voice, women a voice, other women someone to look up to and admire. I keep rolling with the punches and trying to have integrity,” the singer further explains.

“And I hope I inspire women and give them strength to deal with life no matter what comes their way,” she adds.
