The reports from the Daily Mail speak of a sort of swap. In return for helping Madonna churn out a new album, Adele will be getting a brand new song written by the Queen of Pop.

An insider who witnessed the meet, said that “They have met in London and plan a writing session to produce a track for each other's new albums.”

The 55-year-old Madonna is known for her collaborations with much younger artists who are topping the charts. It's a way of confirming their value by putting her weight behind new rising stars, but it's also a way for her to get in touch with a much younger demographic.

Adele, 25, is currently the best-selling digital album of all time. Her “21” is still going strong in digital sales, despite being released in 2011.

Madonna's last album “MDNA,” launched in 2012, peaked at Number 1 on the Billboard 200 and the supporting tour went on to become the highest grossing tour of 2012.
