14 DAY TRIAL // Throughout her decades-long career, Madonna must have done many things she would not do again if she had the knowledge she has today, but kissing Drake at Coachella 2015 is high on that list. She says so herself.
Madge was promoting her latest album, “Rebel Heart,” on the AskAnythingChat video Q&A with Romeo this weekend, and the question of Drake came up, as was to be expected. What was not expected was her answer, as you will see in the first video below.
The Instagram videos under it are of the Drake-related answers, if you don’t feel like sitting through the whole thing.
Madonna and Drake, and a kiss that went viral
You can find a video and a GIF of the infamous kiss below as well. The GIF is just as important as the on-stage kiss because it captures Drake’s reaction as Madonna releases him and starts to walk out and away from him.
He doesn’t look like a man who enjoyed himself. Addressing reports that he was grossed out by being kissed by Madonna or that she bit him (or did other nasty stuff in his mouth), he said he was merely reacting to her lipstick, which had a yucky aftertaste.
Kissing Madonna was great, he added.
Madonna, on her part, responded to the online “controversy” by shutting up her haters, telling them that if they bother to keep up to speed with what she’s doing, they must be fans as well. If they’re so upset that she kissed a much younger man on a stage, they should just not pay attention to it, she added.
As you might have heard, Madonna was the surprise guest of Drake’s Coachella set. However, despite reports to the contrary, the “surprise” had been planned in advance between Drake and Madonna’s teams, and there are rumors saying that the kiss too was planned.

This brings us to the shade throwing promised in the headline: asked by a fan what she’d change from her past knowing what she knows today, Madonna answers without blinking that she would not kiss Drake.
“Don’t kiss Drake no matter how many times he begs you to,” she says. This sounds like she’s saying she regrets it, either because of the blowback on her or because she didn’t enjoy the experience either.
In the same chat, she hints that it’s the former. One fan asks her if Drake was a good kisser, and she responds with “I kissed a girl and I liked it,” a reference to one of Katy Perry’s most popular hits. However, something about Madonna’s smile and the fact that she refers to Drake as a “girl” is making her fans believe that she’s shading the Canadian star.
