Police suspect a now dead former employee at the Ocean Club in the kidnapping case of Madeleine McCann.

The 40-year-old man died in a tractor accident in 2009, but leads about him being the potential abductor are just now starting to surface.

McCann was taken on a vacation with her family in Portugal. The unnamed suspect was living in Lagos, 15 minutes from the resort in Praia da Luz.

When police first questioned managers and asked for employees' names, the former worker's information didn't come up.

They only considered people employed with the resort at the time of Madeleine's disappearance.

Evidence pointing to the former worker consists of photos recovered from his phone. According to the Mirror, he was near the McCann's holiday apartment on the day that Maddie vanished.

Police believe that the little girl is dead and are currently searching for her remains. They think that the worker might have sought retaliation against hotel management for firing him.
