The development team at EA Sports is announcing that the cover vote for the upcoming Madden NFL 16 has entered the final phase, with gamers now having to choose between Odell Beckham Jr. and Rob Gronkowski in the final.

The announcement comes from the official Twitter account of the American football game, which means that the semifinals are now done and gamers can express their preferences using the special mechanics added to Madden NFL 15 on both home consoles and mobile devices.

Each day, gamers will get access to one item which they can choose to create a vote and show the development team whom they want to see on the cover of the new title.

The winner will be officially announced on ESPN on Wednesday, May 13.

Presumably, once the cover for Madden NFL 16 is chosen, the team at EA Sports will be ready to announce actual information about the coming sim, including a launch date and the core development platforms.

Odell Beckham Jr. is at the moment playing for the New York Giants, while Rob Gronkowski is associated with the New England Patriots.

The chosen player will be featured on the official cover of Madden NFL 16 and will also promote the title via his appearances in the coming months.

Madden NFL 16 is already in the motion capture development phase

The team at EA Sports has already showed that it is capturing faces in order to add them to the simulation, with more attention than ever given to the way the various involved players and coaches express their emotions.

It seems that the studio is not planning to make any huge changes to the gameplay of the title but wants to use the power of the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 to improve the graphics quality.

No info has been offered on how the Ultimate Team mode in Madden NFL 16 will be upgraded and whether any of the ideas tested in FIFA 15 will be implemented.

The new title will probably be launched in late August or early September, and it might be the first one in the series to drop support for older-gen consoles.
