The S.T.R.I.K.E.7 Professional Gaming Keyboard for PC is the result of Mad Catz going to the extreme, and then beyond it, in trying to make a piece of gaming hardware.

We could write hundreds of words about the features and specifications, but that would spoil the journey of discovery in the video above.

Suffice to say, the huge keyboard is made of several detachable parts, one of which is the V.E.N.O.M. touch screen interface, a small panel where owners can put all the game and application shortcuts they want, or deploy custom macro commands, etc.

“Our engineers created a keyboard that delivers unprecedented customization and performance. We believe the S.T.R.I.K.E.7 will capture the imagination of passionate gamers and continues to demonstrate our ability to innovative in the core gaming sector,” said Darren Richardson, the president and chief executive officer of Mad Catz Interactive, Inc.

We'll give S.T.R.I.K.E.7 this much: it would have put the “Mad” in Mad Catz if it had been the first product the had company ever released. Too bad it's so expensive ($299.99 / 244.31 Euro).
