As some of you might remember, Mad Catz was selected by Microsoft for a very lucrative partnership (branded accessories for the latter's Xbox 360 gaming console), and it seems that the first results of this deal are already starting to show, the former starting to ship their AX 120 Stereo Gaming Headset.

As you might have guessed already, the new audio solution from Mad Catz targets specifically Xbox 360 gamers and, for this reason, packs certain specific features this category of users will certainly find to come quite in handy.

According to Mad Catz, their Tritton AX 120 Gaming Headset is completely USB powered and comes packed with precision tuned 40mm speakers with Neodymium magnets, that should be able to deliver quite an impressive level of audio quality in all circumstances.

Moreover, the headset also offers an in-line remote, allowing users to easily adjust the voice communications and background audio levels, respectively, which is a very important feature, especially when participating in online co-op missions.

Additional important features worth mentioning include the presence of an in-line breakaway junction, as well as a durable circumaural ear cup design and noise isolating earpads, that should deliver a good level of comfort over long periods of use (and typically, gamers do tend to spend a lot of time in front of their gaming consoles).

Luckily, the new audio peripheral from Mad Catz is far from what we'd call expensive, given the fact that it has a MSRP of $59.99 / £49.99 / 59.99 Euro, which makes it affordable enough for most Xbox 360 owners out there.

Of course, this is not the first product of this type from Mad Catz available on the market under the Tritton brand, and given the aforementioned business deal with Microsoft, we're quite sure that the list of similar devices will be quite a long one.
