Streaming Networks is showing off a new version of the iRecord Pro (PMR-203) with integrated support for the iPad 2, and iPhone 4 at Macworld today.

Supported on iOS 5 as of now, the solution allows anyone to upload their DVDs, VHS tapes, LP/cassettes, DVR content, and even set-top box programs using One Touch and then view them on their iPhone or iPad.

iRecord works seamlessly with the underlying iPhone software and doesn’t require additional software, hardware, or any conversion application for that matter.

Users simply connect an audio/video source and their iPhone / iPad to iRecord and then press the One Touch Record button. The conversion and uploading of the content then occurs automatically. According to its developers, “iRecord works out of the box, without the need of additional accessories.”

The key features listed by Streaming Networks include:

- One-touch recorder - High-quality video / audio and audio-only recorder - Records from any analog video source including DVD/CD player, TV, DVR, VCR, or any cable/satellite set-top box - Full D1 (720x480/576) at 30/25 frames per second

The solution is designed to support NTSC, PAL and SECAM video standards and has a universal power supply.

“Increasingly, people are demanding to watch their preferred media content on the go. Apple’s iDevice products make it easier to carry this content around and iRecord fills the gap by freeing the analog and digital videos to these iDevices,” says Dr. Ayub Khan, CEO and president of Streaming Networks.

iRecord Pro is available starting today and costs $269.99 (just over 200 Euros). Streaming Networks says iRecord sells at a fraction of the cost of many other video encoding solutions that either require additional, expensive applications and / or video conversion services.
