14 DAY TRIAL // Blizzard Entertainment has confirmed the system requirements for the Mac version of its upcoming expansion pack for WoW, Wrath of the Lich King. World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King is the second expansion for the most popular massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) available today.
Following The Burning Crusade, World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King is set in the land of Northrend, home of the Lich King, Arthas Menethil/Ner'zhul. The expansion pack was confirmed on the first day of BlizzCon 2007, August 3, 2007.
A beta for the new add-on kicked off on July 17, 2008. Some of the features announced at BlizzCon 2007 include an upped level cap to 80 levels, the battle with the Lich King at the Frozen Throne, one new playable class – Death Knight, a new continent (Northrend), a new profession – Inscription and the ability to link professions via chat, achievements for both the expansion and existing content, and others. Wrath of the Lich King is due out for both the Mac and PC on November 13, 2008.
According to Blizzard's poster Bornakk, Mac owners should pack the following specs for a good gameplay experience.

Video: Minimum: 3D graphics processor with Hardware Transform and Lighting with 64 MB VRAM, such as an ATI Radeon 9600 or NVIDIA GeForce Ti 4600 class card, or better Recommended: 3D graphics processor with Vertex and Pixel Shader capability with 128 MB VRAM, such as an ATI Radeon X1600 or NVIDIA 7600 class card, or better
Required specs common to all platforms include a keyboard and mouse, as input devices other than a mouse and keyboard – such as joypads – are not supported. Multi-button mice with scroll wheel are recommended. Users will need to have an active broadband Internet connection to play. Lastly, the required hard drive space is about 15 GB.
