A new patch for the popular NeoOffice productivity suite for Mac OS X is now available. The team at NeoOffice signals that all critical bugs reported by those who donate to the project have been addressed, and included in Patch 5 for NeoOffice 3.1.2.

A post signed Patrick, Fran, Ed, and Tim of the NeoOffice team reveals that the developers have been “busily fixing any significant bugs reported by our donors,” since the release of the last NeoOffice 3.1.2 patch in early February

“To ensure that NeoOffice users have the most stable code available, we have fixed all critical bugs reported by our donors and released NeoOffice 3.1.2 Patch 5,” they note.

According to the forum post, the patch includes the following bug fixes:

- Tooltips remain visible after switching to another application - Dropping Calc edit field text to desktop creates empty .textClipping file - Destination rectangle not shown when dragging cells in Calc - Calc crashes when deleting a row after certain undo actions - Minimizing document window disables dragging to document's child windows - Writer rulers do not match page margins after opening.

As usual, the latest version of NeoOffice can be downloaded by all Mac users from the NeoOffice patch download page.

Softpedia also provides an immediate download for its readers.

“If you have any support questions, a list of suggested steps for finding an answer for a problem as fast as possible is available on the NeoOffice Support page,” the NeoOffice Team adds.

The team indirectly apologizes that they can only provide support to their most generous donors in the NeoOffice forums, since over half of their donations come from a very small percentage of users.
