Last week, we reported that a certain “Snow Leopard 10A190.dmg” was found on the Internet available for immediate download. We have recently learned of the existence of a downloadable “Snow Leopard Server 10 6 10A222” that weighs in at 6431MB. Snow Leopard builds 10A190, 10A96 and WWDC '08 Developer Preview are available too, according to torrent site listings.

It is still unknown whether the currently leaked Snow Leopard builds are the latest that developers could get their hands on. Some users reported a good experience with the pre-release versions of OS X 10.6, while others simply advise Mac users to just wait for the retail version to come out. The software is buggy and doesn't offer support for a number of programs. With no support whosoever, it's probably best if you follow the second piece of advice.

Rumor has it that Apple may have a lot more than tweaks and enhancements in mind for the existing features in OS X Leopard. Some suggest Apple is expected to unify the entire UI, doing away with elements using embossment. However, as the latest available builds show, Apple hasn't included any major changes with the OS, and almost none whatsoever with the user interface.

Nevertheless, Macnn is citing anonymous sources as saying that Mac OS X Snow Leopard may have a significantly different appearance. Apple may be unifying the look and layout of Mac OS X across all applications, those people say. As a result of this, Aqua themes will be a thing of the past. In exchange, “Marble” is said to be the next look of Mac OS X. However, many believe there will mostly be tweaks of Aqua rather than a total overhaul. The report claims that the biggest revision may be a 'flattening' of the apps' interface.

Softpedia doesn't encourage downloading non-approved Apple software via torrent sites. This article has a purely informational purpose and doesn't, in any way, suggest that Mac users should go forth with downloading the developer builds of Snow Leopard currently available on torrent sites.
