A new version of Cocktail for Snow Leopard has been released. The update fixes compatibility issues with Safari extensions, adds the "Delete Localization Files" Automator action, and offers compatibility with the yet-unreleased Mac OS X 10.6.7, Maintain said.

“Cocktail 4.8.2 (Snow Leopard Edition) is the latest maintenance update of Cocktail for users running Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard,” the developers note.

“It fixes compatibility issues with Safari extensions, adds the ‘Delete Localization Files’ Automator action as well as compatibility with Mac OS X 10.6.7. The update is highly recommended for all users of Cocktail (Snow Leopard Edition),” according to Maintain.

Mac OS X 10.6.7 is an unreleased version of Snow Leopard that’s currently undergoing internal beta testing at Apple.

Mac OS X 10.6.7 is not a major upcoming release in that it doesn’t pack any revolutionary new features.

In fact, it doesn’t pack any new features at all. Instead, the increment focuses on increasing the stability and security of the software, as well as to provide the usual compatibility fixes.

According to Maintain, the latest version of Cocktail Snow Leopard Edition requires Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) or later.

Cocktail 4.8.2 is “tested for compatibility with Mac OS X / Mac OS X Server 10.6.7,” Maintain outlines.

The latest maintenance update of Cocktail for users running Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard is version Cocktail 4.6.2 - also immediately downloadable from the link below.
