Mac OS X 10.6.5 Build 10H548 has been seeded to members of the Apple developer community with focus areas spanning 3D Graphics, iCal, Mail, QuickTime, Time Machine and USB Devices.

According to a report, Mac OS X 10.6.5 Build 10H548 weighs in at close to 600 MB in barebones delta form, and contains no known issues, with Apple keeping a reduced number of focus areas that seem to be pretty much the same ones as with previous seeds.

“Mac OS X Software Update 10.6.5 is an update to Mac OS X 10.6,” Apple developers are told on the Mac Dev Center. “Please refer to the seed note for more details and installation instructions.”

According to the report in question, those interested in working with the build can do so by visiting Apple’s Mac Developer web site. The seed notes are then provided as follows:

Via a press release posted on September 15, Apple confirmed the availability of new developer betas for iOS 4.2 and iOS SDK 4.2.

iOS 4.2 added a flagship feature called AirPrint, which, according to people familiar with Apple’s beta releases, required the latest Mac OS X 10.6.5 beta to ensure compatibility with shared wireless printing.

Mac OS X 10.6.5 is the forthcoming fifth incremental update to Snow Leopard, Apple’s flagship operating system powering desktop and notebook Macs.

Used as a beta be Apple’s select developers for around two months now, Mac OS X 10.6.5 is closer than ever to a public release.

One indication is that the latest builds are no longer plagued by issues, or at least none that developers would know about.
