Most tablets and smartphones out there offer a relatively low internal storage capacity which is usually set around 8GB, 16GB or 32GB, even if users' demands are increasingly on the rise.

Thankfully, most devices offer the opportunity to expand via microSD card. For example, until now SanDisk has offered a 64GB storage extension option, but as of today the company has upped its game by launching a microSDXC with a storage capacity of 128GB, says TabletsMagazine.

The new SD card has been designed specifically for smartphones and laptops, and the company says it’s perfect for storing full HD video and pictures. The card is smaller than a finger nail, while transfer speeds are higher than your average microSD card.

SanDisk also has its new Memory Zone app (which is still in beta in the Google Play Store) that will enable users to access, view and backup their files on their devices.

Anyway, the microSDXC is expected to hit stores like BestBuy and Amazon as soon as tomorrow, but a 128GB model will take up as high as $200 / €145 a pop.
