LG has recently been on fire at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2014 trade fair, as the company has introduced no less than 5 Android smartphones.

We reckon that some of these devices have been announced several days ahead of MWC 2014, but this is the first major press event where the new smartphones are showcased.

We have already covered most of these new handsets announced by LG in the last few weeks least one, the F90. The LG F90 is a mid-range smartphone, the most advanced in the newly debuted L Series III family of Android phones.

The other two, L40 and L70 are less-featured when it comes to hardware, but offer similar software features for the most part.

Thus, LG F90 has been confirmed to ship with Android 4.4 KitKat operating system out of the box, along with LG Optimus UI on top.

Unfortunately, the South Korean company has not announced when and where the LG F90 will go on sale. There’s no word on price either, but we can safely assume that it will be priced higher than the other two smartphones in the L Series III.

Specs-wise, the LG F90 comes with a few improvements over the F70 device that we reported on yesterday. For example, it sports a slightly larger 4.7-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports qHD (540 x 960 pixels) resolution. In comparison, the F70 packs a smaller 4.5-inch display with WVGA (480 x 800 pixels) resolution.

On the inside, the F90 is equipped with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, but the clocking speed is unknown for the moment. Hopefully, this will be revealed by LG in the coming days.

It also features 512MB of RAM and only 4GB of internal memory, which is a bit disappointing even for a mid-range smartphone. The good news is that LG F90 boasts an enhanced 8-megapixel rear camera, which hopefully shoots decent pictures. There’s also a secondary VGA front-facing camera for video calls.

Surprisingly, LG F90 comes with LTE support and a high-capacity 3000 mAh battery. Other than that, potential customers should expect the usual connectivity features such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS with A-GPS support.

“As far as smartphones have come in recent years, we should not lose sight of the fact that less than a quarter of the world’s consumers are smartphone users. That’s why our product lineup in 2014 will include devices with a unique user experience that appeal to a wider spectrum of consumers,” said Dr. Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of the LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company.
