As promised, we're reporting live from the 2011 Mobile World Congress where all the giants  in the telecommunications and mobile technology are meeting to share their vision with the world.

The first event that we reported live was Samsung Galaxy S II and Galaxy Tab 10.1's launch announcement, from yesterday, February 13th.

However, before entering the event, we had the chance to talk with someone who is actually using a AT&T's Motorola Atrix 4G as we speak. We do not have the permission to disclose the person's name, suffice to say that he is one of the world's known mobile tech gurus.

We also took a couple of shots of the device, which looks amazingly slim and features a crisp and vivid touchscreen. Our source also shared a few thoughts on Motorola's future flagship Android smartphone, which he had been using for about a week. Motorola Atrix 4G features a Dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2 chipset with two 1GHz ARM Cortex-A9 proccessors that work independently. It also boasts an amazing 4-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen with 16 million colors and an astonishing 540 x 960 pixels resolution. Both hardware pieces drain a lot of energy from the battery, that's why the manufacturer included a huge Li-Ion 1930 mAh battery. Despite the high energy demands of the device, the Atrix 4G ranked six in an “all time” mobile phone top made by our source, who is also a renown benchmarker. Furthermore, the device packs 1GB of memory and the ability to run a full version of Firefox for Linux. From what we've seen the device is really fast, but we guess this has nothing to do with the fact that it embeds a dual core processor, which is mostly used when multi-tasking or gaming. Apparently, the device is meant to be a superphone for consumers who wish to replace their netbooks or laptops. The last piece of information we got is the possible release date of the Motorola Atrix 4G, which is March. Even though it's not a certain date we guess that additional information will emerge in due time. Stay tuned for more updates on the subject and be sure to track our news feed for the latest information about 2011 Mobile World Congress.
