As we also informed you earlier today, Depp was also honored with the MTV Generation Award at the gala, but he treated fans to more than just his presence on the stage for the acceptance speech.
He accompanied The Black Keys on the guitar for “Gold on the Ceiling” and “Lonely Boy.” You can see the former in the video below.
Judging by how audiences reacted to Johnny rocking out with the band, we'd say he would be just as successful in music as he is in acting, so there's always that to fall back on.
Of course, fans know that Depp is no stranger to live music performances, having already joined Marilyn Manson on stage.
