MSI announced the X-Slim X370 more than a month ago, but, back then, the company forgot to mention the price they wish to ask for this ultra-portable laptop powered by an AMD Fusion APU. However, this changed now as the first details about the notebook's price and availability have made their way to the Web.

The X-Slim X370 was designed to cater to the needs of active fashion-aware customers who want to make a statement with the devices they carry around with them, so the whole notebook is less than one-inch thin and it tips the scales at a mere 1.4kg.

To make this happen, MSI has decided to build the notebook around an AMD E-350 APU that has a maximum TDP of just 18W and packs dual processing cores clocked at 1.6GHz as well as an on-die GPU, called the Radeon HD 6310.

While this isn't as fast as the discrete graphics solutions that are now available on the market, it is powerful enough to handle Blu-ray Full HD playback as well as some low-resolution gaming and comes paired with an HDMI output.

The rest of the system can be configured to feature as much as 4GB of DDR3 memory, a 640GB 7200RPM hard disk drive, and the X-370 also features SRS sound, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1 and Gigabit Ethernet connectivity, a 1.3MP webcam and a four- or eight-cell battery.

The later is able to push the battery life to an impressive 10 hours, according to MSI, and it increases the weight of the notebook by a mere 300 grams.

Apart from the HDMI output, on the sides of the notebook users will also find a pair of USB 2.0 ports, a card reader and a VGA output.

The 13.4-inch screen has a resolution of 1366x768 pixels which is adequate for a screen this size.

When configured with 4GB of DDR3 memory and a 500GB 7200RPM hard drive, MSI's X-Slim X370 ultra portable is priced at $699 and it should become available in a couple of weeks from now.
