Advanced Micro Devices did release its Llano accelerated processing units, saying that both old and new machines would get them, and it looks like this is exactly what happened to a certain MSI notebook.

It appears that motherboards equipped with the newest and strongest E-Series APU from AMD aren't all that the Zacate's successor has spawned.

For those that want a reminder, the E-450 is the E-series Llano accelerated processing unit and gained some renown recently, when ASUS, among others, revealed mainboards based on it.

Essentially, it is a dual-core unit (Bobcat architecture) with a clock speed of 1.65 GHz which also boasts the Radeon HD 6320 DirectX 11 graphics (80 Stream Processors).

It is this very unit that is now getting spoken of again, courtesy of a product update on the part of Micro-Star International.

What MSI did was essentially take a laptop it has been selling for months and give it a stronger CPU, or APU in this case.

The notebook carries the name of X370 and originally started selling all the way back in April (2011).

Amazon and Newegg both now have the upgraded version up for order, with a price of $579.

For those that want to be reminded of what other components the machine has, the 13.4-inch machine has an LCD with a native resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels (HD).

Also, 4 GB of RAM (random access memory) are present, as is a hard disk drive with a capacity of 500 GB.

As for the battery life of the X370-205US (this is the name of this 3.11-pound machine), it should be able to last for up to 10 hours on a single charge.

Finally, 802.11b/g/n Wireless LAN is present (WiFi), as is a 1.3 megapixel webcam and the Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit OS.
