Well-known mainboard manufacturer, Taiwanese company MSI is getting better and better at making mobile computers, and now it is announcing four new mobile lines, on its official website. The new series in question are the multimedia C series, the U270 netbook, the U180 and the highly-anticipated MSI Slider S20.

The company has already won the "Best Choice Award" for the GT70 gaming monster that we already discussed here.

We know the C series consists of the company’s well-known CX70, CR70, CX61, CR61, and CR41 multimedia laptops.

The U270 is likely the Wind U270 netbook that uses AMD’s new Brazos 2.0 platform. We already covered the U270 here.

The U180 is likely a Windows 7-powered netbook using Intel’s low-performance Atom processor. It will, on the other hand, manifest very good battery life, thus showing off Atom’s only real quality.

The device is slated to be less than an inch thick and only 1 Kg heavy. That’s about 2.2 pounds.

MSI’s Slider S20 is an UltraBook that can also function as a tablet, as the device is convertible.

The S20 is said to be just 1.3 Kg heavy and less than 20-millimeter thick. That’s about 2.86 pounds, with a 0.78 inch thickness.

It seems that the MSI Slider S20 will not feature a touchpad nor a trackpoint and the only pointing device integrated in the design is the 10-point multi-touch screen.

Unlike many other connectivity-“handicapped” UltraBooks, the company claims that the S20 will come with USB 3.0, HDMI, Wireless N, Bluetooth 4.0 and possibly even 3G/4G connectivity.

The truly great feature of the S20 is that the convertible UltraBook is powered by Intel’s Ivy Bridge architecture in an ultra-low power implementation that runs Microsoft's latest Windows 8 operating system.

The Intel Chief River platform is preferable to some low-performing Celeron CPUs based on Sandy Bridge like Intel is preparing to push to the market.
