It appears that Micro-Star International is not slacking off, having revealed that its mobile PC portfolio has just seen the addition of two new products intended for what the company calls active individuals.

Many end-users have to travel from place to place on a regular basis, so it helps to have a lightweight machine around, especially if it has decent or even high performance capabilities.

This is what MSI tries to deliver through its X-Slim X370 and Wind U270 mobile computers.

The former is based on AMD's dual-core E-350 processor (has the Radeon HD 6310 graphics), and has a 13-inch 16:9 display, plus USB 3.0 ports, MSI Eco power-saving technology and a 720p HD webcam.

Basically, it can handle any multimedia on the go and, since it has the very fast SuperSpeed connection, can transfer files at up to 4.8 Gbps.

All the above are packed inside a frame weighing just 1.4 kilograms with color film print coating and MSI's own crystal diamond seal technology.

Meanwhile, the U270 has more or less the same hardware, but has a display size of only 12 inches and weighs 1.3 kilograms.

“The U270 and X370 feature the new generation AMD dual core E-350 processor and the AMD Radeon HD 6310 discrete class graphics display chip, giving them superior processing performance as well as powerful display performance on par with that of discrete graphics cards,” says the press release.

In order to make its two laptops even more user-friendly, MSI implemented the S-bar, located at the top of the desktop.

It allows one to control primary hardware and OS hot keys with a single mouse click, in addition to the company's own applications.

“These lean, mean machines are the ideal choice for active individuals,” says the company. With these portable laptops, you can enjoy multimedia entertainment outside all day.”

Unfortunately, like the rest of the specs, the prices and availability have been kept under wraps.
