Even with all the slowdown on the IT market, Micro-Star International still saw fit to unleash a new system, one that can be seen as this year's first all-in-one to leave its labs, powered by an Intel mobile processor.

Since most product announcements were either made at CES or are being held off for MWC or CeBIT, IT companies haven't been very active lately.

This led to a sort of vacuum that only a few companies, like Antec, were willing to try and fill, at least to some extent.

Now, Micro-Star International has also made a contribution, in the shape of an all-in-one system that is based on an Intel Calpella processor, similar to those used in notebooks.

To be more specific, the machine runs on the Pentium P6100 or an Intel Core i5 or Core i3 CPU. This variety of platforms is likely to enable the product to appeal to a wide range of customers.

Whichever CPU is chosen is backed up by either 2 GB or 4 GB of RAM, while the integrated graphics handle the 21.6-inch display.

The screen in question is a Full HD (1,920 x 1,080 pixel resolution) LCD with support for multi-touch. Meanwhile, the integrated graphics is the Intel GMA HD built directly into the processor itself.

There is also mention of a hard disk drive with a capacity of 640 GB, as well as of a Super Multi DVD writer and a 6-in-1 card reader.

With these assets to handle the storage side of things, MSI also threw in a pair of built-in speakers, the obligatory Gigabit Ethernet, a 1.3 megapixel webcam, a D-Sub port and an HDMI connector.

End-users interested in every available piece of information on this new system need only drop by the official product page on MSI's website.

Pre-orders should already be possible to place in Europe, for 849 Euro, and in the US, for $988.
