The world of tablets has just got another addition. This time, MSI is trying to impress consumers with its brand new W20 3M slate, aimed specifically at the business sector.

Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing for MSI Notebook Eric Kuo points this out in the official statement.

“With its innovative construction, the W20 3M is designed with the needs of business travelers in mind. It combines the best attributes of tablets and ultralight laptops into one chic, sophisticated device.”

“Loaded with Windows 8 and plenty of unique features, including solid-state drives up to three times faster than those in other tablets, nine-hour battery life, 10-point multi-touch screen, and fingerprint recognition for enhance security, the W20 M3 brings a user-friendly, interactive experience to you wherever you are in the world and puts business and entertainment functionality in the palm of your hand.”

The W20 3M packs an 11.6-inch wide-angle IPS screen with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. The device is very thin and light, weighing only 668 grams / 1.47 lbs, so it won’t take up much of your space when you travel.

MSI has packed an AMD dual-core A4-1200 APU processor and Radeon HD 8180M graphics kernel with added support for DirectX 11, thus making the slate 3D-capable.

When workload goes through the roof, professionals won’t have to worry about not having enough battery life to complete their tasks, as the slate lasts up to 9 hours of intense use.

On top of that, MSI has slipped 2GB of DDR3 memory, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and microSD card reader. There’s also a 720p front-facing camera and, because fingerprint technology is so popular these days, the manufacturing company has embedded it as well.

The W20 3M is available both with 64GB and 128GB of internal storage and comes running Windows 8 out of the box.

Price and availability dates haven’t been provided just yet, but they are expected to be made public soon.
