MSI, one of the most recognizable brands when it comes to graphics cards and desktop motherboards, has recently announced the expansion of its line of GeForce-based GPUs, with the introduction of a new, high-performance solution designed for computer enthusiasts and gaming users. The new card is based on one of NVIDIA's latest desktop GPUs, the GeForce GTX 275, and is designed to provide users with a performance boost over the reference card, thanks to a custom-built dual-fan cooler that has enabled MSI to increase the clock speeds of said card.

Dubbed N275GTX Lighting, MSI's new GeForce graphics card has been built as a follow-up to the previously unveiled N260GTX Lighting card, providing users with a new level of graphics performance. The card has been equipped with the MSI Twin Frozr II cooling solution, featuring a dual-slot, dual-fan design that can effectively lower the temperature on the high-performance GPU. In addition, the card’s cooling solution also integrates MSI's own SuperPipe technology, which essentially means that the Twin Frozr II cooler boasts 8mm thick heatpipes, increasing the cooling efficiency to 90% over traditional ones.

Other than that, the new MSI graphics card has been featured with a factory-overclocked GPU that runs at a core speed of 700MHz, while the on-board 1792MB of GDDR3 memory runs at speeds of up to 2300MHz, which should provide enthusiasts with an impressive performance in various graphics-demanding applications. As with all NVIDIA-based cards, the new N275 Lighting also comes backed by technologies such as PhysX, SLI or support for CUDA applications.

Designed using military-grade components to ensure both reliability and high-performance, the card should hit retail channels in the near future. Unfortunately, the Taiwanese manufacturer hasn't revealed any specific details regarding the availability and pricing of its new product.
