Gaming notebooks may not be available in as high a number as mainstream ones, but they do know how to show off, as made more than clear by the newest model from MSI, which was just now revealed.

Micro-Star International is not one to shy away from releasing a new mobile computer whenever some new feature or technology comes up.

Likewise, the company is just as quick when it comes to offering support to new technologies on its motherboards, as happened recently to the Virtu software.

Basically, the company likes to keep its product portfolio up to date and, in the case of high-end products, near or right on top in terms of performance and overall appeal.

That said, MSI just announced its newest gaming notebook, one whose name is GX780 and which uses an Intel Core i7-2630QM CPU as main piece (2.0 GHz).

The central processor is complemented by up to 16 GB of RAM (random access memory) and paired with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 555M 1 GB graphics card.

With these parts to make it clear that pretty much any game will run like a breeze, MSI made sure to implement a suitably capable display.

While a LED-backlit LCD panel with a native resolution of 1,600 x 900 pixels is available as an option, there is a Full HD one as well (1,920 x 1,080 pixels).

Needless to say, MSI showered the GX780 with all the connectivity and I/O options one might needs, like Gigabit Ethernet, WiFi, USB 3.0, HDMI, etc.

What stands out more than most elements, however, is the keyboard which, made jointly with SteelSeries, can keep track of up to 10 keys pressed at once and features a 30-color LED backlight of its own.

Other specifications one might be interested in knowing about are the speakers and subwoofer, up to 1.5 TB of storage, a 9-cell battery and the TDE (Turbo Drive Engine) and Cooler Boost technologies.

This site says that sales should start in middle or late May, 2011, but there is no way of knowing for sure when and at what price the beast will be set loose.
