Given the fact that tablets are so very popular nowadays, MSI has also come up with plenty new models (running both Android and Windows 7 operating systems) but it would seem that they're working on some even cooler implementations of this concept for the future, including a model equipped with a built-in projector. Spotted by the people over at NotebookItalia at CES 2011, the tablet brings about quite an interesting level of novelty, given the fact that the built-in projector will enable users to share the content (documents, videos, etc.) being viewed on the device's displays with other people as well.

As you can see in the enclosed photo, MSI's concept tablet sports a rotating cylinder on the top part, incorporating the aforementioned projector module, which means that it grants quite a good level of versatility as far as the direction of the projection is concerned.

Moreover, it seems that MSI's engineers are also considering adding feedback features to the tablet, meaning that the projector module might also be used for turning just about any surface into a keyboard.

Unfortunately, the company has provided very little information in terms of technical specs, mentioning just that the prototype model is built on an Intel platform (most likely, Intel Atom) and runs the Windows 7 operating system, but this technology could be easily applied to an ARM-based Android-running tablet as well.

Naturally, MSI only showcased this model in order to get some feedback on this extra feature and see whether people are interested in it or not, but if there's enough hype created around it, the company might just go ahead and build it, at some point on the future, although specific details regarding this topic (or just how much such a device would wind up costing, in the end) have not yet been provided.
