But why not have the best of both worlds? Convertibles seem to be devices that are here to stay and more and more manufacturers are full-heartedly jumping in the convertible bandwagon.
MSI does so too, just in time for the holiday season, with the new S20 Slider 2 tablet-laptop flipper that comes sporting an attractive and ingenious design. The sliding cover allows the device to turn either into a tablet (folding the keyboard) or into a notebook.
MSI says that the hybrid is capable of handling everything users might throw at it, meaning audio, visual, multimedia, reading or gaming, but also work-related activities form the Office environment.
MSI VP, Eric Kuo introduced the super slim and light HD Ultrabook.

The S20 Slider 2 boasts an 11-inch IPS LCD display with a capable resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels that provides beautiful vivid and crisp images.
MSI has added Intel’s 4th-generation Haswell Core i5 processors here, coupled with 8GB of RAM. The hybrid also enjoy the new Intel integrated HD4600 graphics treatment, so that explains why the company claims even the most recent 3D games will run smoothly and lag-free.
The Intel graphics bring support for Microsoft DX11 effects, OpenCL v1.1 and OpenGL 3.1. On top of that, MSI gives off a 128GB SSD with this product, that ships with Windows 8 out of the box.
The hybrid will be available for purchase soon, but no prices have been made available for it.
