They can switch between silent, performance and power efficiency modes

Not long ago, MSI released a 4 GB Radeon R9 270X graphics card, but now the company is unveiling Gaming versions of the Radeon R9 290 and 290X adapters as well.

They both have 4 GB of GDDR5 VRAM, but the more important part is the dual-mode support. By using the MSI Gaming App, gamers can switch between three pre-sets.

One of them runs the card as silently as possible, one focuses on energy efficiency and one is the OC mode, which runs the cards at full blast.

Both the MSI R9 290 GAMING 4G and R9 290X GAMING 4G use a dual-fan cooler with copper base, heatpipes that come into contact with a large part of the heatsink, and two fans.

MSI's black and red colored boards have not been given prices, alas.
